NIPCO INTENSIFIES QUALITY CHECK OF PRODUCT DISPENSED
In a conscious move to further emphasis the premium NIPCO places on quality control for all forms of petroleum products being dispensed from the terminal, a certificate of quality has been introduced by the company to authenticate that all its loadings meets industry specifications.
The certificate which is now a pre requisite before loaded trucks can be exited from the depot is the end result of the extensive check put in place by the organisation to ensure that products coming out of the terminal meet the approved quality and safety parameters.
Similarly, the company’s internal dynamics with respect to quality control have been effectively reviewed with a view to ensuring that product quality is not benchmarked for anything in the process of receipt, storage and eventual discharge.
As a matter of emphases, product like House Hold Kerosene (HHK) are subjected to serious quality test aside from the establishment of a joint inspection team comprising operations and safety personnel with the primary responsibility of physical inspection of trucks build to load HHK from the terminal so as to ascertain that they don’t any traces of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
With the quality certificate parameters such as colour, density and flash point among others are given preference to in ascertaining the product quality in line with acceptable industry standards.
The Sales & Marketing department have also been playing complimentary roles by creating further awareness on the certificate as part of the company’s due process in ensuring safety for all stakeholders within and outside the establishment.
Management has therefore enjoined all marketers to embrace the certificate which does not attract any fee and report any encumbrance towards getting it to the authorities promptly.
